In subscription payments, businesses collect payments in an on-going basis either monthly or annually in exchange for products or services. Common usecases of subscription payments include monthly payments of rents, EMIs, insurance premiums, OTT viewing, utility bills etc.

What are recurring payments?
Recurring payments is a billing model wherein a customer authorises a business to collect payments from their account on an on-going basis in exchange for a product or service. The customer only provides a one-time authorisation to permit the business to directly debit the recurring amount from their account. The payment cycle lasts till the subscription expries or till the customer sends a request to stop.
